Grades and Comments

12 STEPS

1. The first step is to open the Faculty Portal

2. Click on the name of the class for which you intend to grade/comment.

3. Click Grades & Comments

4. Choose a student from the left sidebar. If you are giving qualitative grades, you can begin selecting the appropriate grade from the dropdowns. A similar procedure applies to letter grades. 

The system will automatically save as you work.

5. Select a grade.

6. Scroll down and enter a comment for the student, if needed.

The system will automatically save your comments as you write.

7. When you are done with this student, scroll down and press Mark Student for Review. This will submit this student's grades and/or comments to the reviewer. You will receive an email notification if the reviewer has any comments.

8. In some cases, you may wish to write a comment for the entire class. This is called a Class Curriculum comment. Click the Class Curriculum tab to get started.

9. Type your Class Curriculum comment here. This is a global comment that will appear for all students of the class.

10. Class curriculum comments do not save automatically, so be sure to press the Save Curriculum button when finished.

11. Click ← back to Student Grades to go back to student grades.

12. That's it. You're done.
